this material was recorded by Scott Cooksey at his Klearlight recording studio in Mesquite Texas in March of 2009 and features some of his mind blowing guitar work as well as some help on vocals. It also features cameo’s from the guys in Hit&Run
and a song co-written by the legendary Simon Stokes. This release is to the point and in your face. We didn’t head in any new direction on this one accept better and meaner. This is the perfect soundtrack for these dark times that are gonna get darker. This will evoke fits of violent rage in the most docile pacifist. And add comfort to those with rage in there hearts. The opening track “Later than you Think” lays out the dim reality about the coming end of free speech and freedom in general at the hands of the one world government. Track #2 “the Plague of Weakness” tells of how this nation lost it’s spine and how a select few refuse to join in the weakness. Track #3 “Felt that way for a Day” goes after those who stand on principles only when it is cool or popular. Track #4 “Keeping my Powder Dry” bad news is good news it has got to get worse to get better, patience. Track #5 “38,,44″ lets you know why you should never wake a sleeping beauty.Track#6″I Reject it”Is a full bore attack on the lies we are buying into and why a dose of reality is needed. Track#7 “Chemical Straight jacket is an attack on antidepressants, prescription drugs and drugs in general. A drugged up society is easier to control .Don’t be a sucker flush that shit down the toilet. Track#8 “Soon I will be Free.” sometimes the justice system is crime and crime is justice. Track#9 “Drive On” never give up fight till your last dyeing breath. Track #10 “Sleepless Sunrises” years of self indulgence add up to a pile of shit some find out to late. Scott got some great tones,we used the original drum set that was owned by the James Gang in the 70’s and was used in some of there recordings. Liza had the privilege of recording through the late Ben Cooksey’s amp so his memory lives on in the bass guitar tones on this release. We laied all the tracks in two days and left most of the mixing to SC. Like a good pot of Texas chili Scott’s work takes time but is well worth the wait. have a taste and find out for yourself. warning may be to hot for some listners.
